What Achoura celebrates
Ten days after the Hijri new year, Achoura blends contemplation with popular festivities: children receive toys, families share dried fruits and sweets, and neighborhoods echo with the taarija, the little drum every Moroccan child has played at least once. The zamzam tradition — splashing water — remains the most joyful memory of many generations.
Entertainment true to the spirit of the celebration
Our Achoura programs build on this heritage: percussion workshops where children craft and decorate their taarija, staged traditional storytelling, henna and costumes, and of course toy distributions orchestrated so every child leaves with a gift. All wrapped in scenography in the colors of the celebration.
